Sara grew up in a small farming community in Southwest Colorado, but has spent over a decade living in the Fort Collins/Loveland area. In 2013, Sara graduated with her B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University. She then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Touro University Nevada and began practicing as a physical therapist in Fort Collins in 2018.  

Her personal health journey began in 2017, as she navigated through an autoimmune thyroid condition triggered by a series of significant life events and environmental stressors. Eventually, her journey led her to functional/integrative/lifestyle medicine, which begged the question "WHY?" and offered individualized, systems-based care, treated the root causes (not just symptoms), and supported a preventative health mindset. Through her practice as a physical therapist, she has also observed the power of addressing root causes, often discussing lifestyle and behavioral factors as they relate to her patients' pain and dysfunction.

In August 2025, Sara received her certification in Functional Medicine Health Coaching to better serve her physical therapy patients as well as begin her coaching venture, reaching out to coaching clients. Sara has special interests in perimenopause, pregnancy/postpartum, active aging, and hypermobility syndromes. Sara is also a birth doula. During her free time, Sara immerses in nature and enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, and taking advantage of all that Colorado has to offer. She enjoys spending her time with her 2 young children and their 2 Labradors.
